Peach green smoothie

Recipe for two big glasses
4 bananas
4 sweet peaches
4 stalks of celery
1 small head of romain lettuce
½ cup of water

This green smoothie is very fresh and sweet. Just mix the ingredients in a blender, preferably a high speed blender which pulverize the greens. The romaine lettuce is filled with nutrients, minerals, omega 3:s and easily absorbed protein.

*For the nerds, this smoothie actually contains (in RDA/Recommended daily intake):

  • 54 % of omega 3
  • 36 % of protein
  • 270 % Vitamin A
  • 135 % of Vitamin C
  • 90 % potassium
  • 82 % magnesium
  • 38 % iron
  • 26 % of calcium

As you can see, it’s really nutritious! There’s a reason why romaine lettuce is called one of the world’s healthiest foods. If you have a iron deficiency, or if you’re low in calcium or magnesium, then green smoothies will be beneficial for you. They also aid digestion and are good for the skin. Enjoy this nutrient bomb with a really good conscience!


*Romaine lettuce is actually a complete protein, which means that it contains all the essential amino acids.
